| The Seaside Float Association was formed in the Spring of 2000 to obtain, design and decorate a float to represent Seaside, Oregon in as many as a dozen parades in Northwest Oregon and Southwestern Washington. The Seaside Chamber of Commerce took over operation of this project in March 2001. The Chamber Float Committee's goal is to promote Seaside to potential visitors who attend these parades. The Float Committee is made up of business owners and individuals that want to see our town grow through presenting a visual reminder of all Seaside has to offer as a vacation destination on the North Coast. The Seaside Chamber Ambassadors accompany the float during the parades, leaving a great impression of our town to the parade-goers at these Northwest Events. |

We need your support! Our committee members meet year 'round. The 2002 theme for the float has already been decided - and will center on the Lewis & Clark Centennial. This year's budget is $8,000. Your donation is greatly needed. Members of the Float Committee are working to find partial funding through various grants and donations.
